Pulling over vehicle. Taking a quick Word break.
12+ hours working through no lunch break yet. 7 days straight work no days off yet.
Ewww my flesh is getting ready to pounce on me.
But G-d. His Grace is sufficient. You know, I want nothing to do with my understanding.
Yet, in meditation of the Word, I think, and think, sometimes. And then just trust in the L-rd.
To day, and maybe here and there past couple weeks? I have pondered my paraphrasing “unless my righteousness exceeds the pharisees…”
And my flesh as been getting uppity in me as the clock is passing today… Old creature I was nasty. New creature, I am completely different in my head and heart, I feel, even though my actions or words to others, I guess don’t represent that…
And G-d, brought up His Grace is sufficient.
Thank You Father, Thank You. In Jesus Name, Thank You.
“For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 5:20 KJV
“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.”
Philippians 3:1-11 KJV
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV
“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
